Malti Gyan Peeth Puraskar Evolution

Evolution of Malti Gyan Peeth Puraskar dates back to 2011 , when Mr. Manoj Singhal, President of Mohinder Singh Syngle Education & Research Society (Regd.) announced the institution of the award at the 90th Birthday Celebrations of Smt. Malti Mohinder Singh Syngle at Chinmaya Mission Auditorium, New Delhi on May-29, 2011. here below are the relevant portions of is his speech :

"Respected Mataji, distinguished dignitaries, revered guests, family members and friends.

This is a very proud and touching moment for me as we all join together to celebrate the 90th birthday of my revered mother Smt Malti Mohinder Singh Syngle. This is also a moment when I stand here to pay my gratitude to Mummy for everything that she has done for me. What ever I am today and then niche that I have been able to create for myself in this world, it is all because of Mummy. She has been my mentor, friend, philosopher & guide.

Mataji since her childhood wanted to be an educationist. She not only fulfilled her dream but education became a passion for her. Even after her retirement as an active educationist she remained in touch with the field of education.

A few years ago when I asked Mataji that I want to do something for the society what does she think should be done, she did not have to think twice before she said, provide a facility for good education in Sangrur the place where we all come from. Going back to roots. That is how M and M Educational Society came into being in 2005.

"Today we are celebrating Mataji's 90th birthday at Chinimmya Mission Auditorium. With heavenly blessings of my forefather, & with blessings and in august presence of Param Shradhey Swami Viswamitter Ji Maharajashree of Shree Ram Sharnam, I am happy to announce 'MALTI GYAN PEETH PURASKAR'. This would be a felicitation to those who have dedicated their lives to the field of education.
